LUSH Face Products

Up until this year I hadn't tried any LUSH face products. I was always just drawn to the bath bombs and bubble bars and basically all of the fun things. But after reading good reviews I decided to give a few face products a try and review them.

So the first one I tried was "Ultrabland". This is a facial cleanser which claims to take your makeup off. All you need to do is put a layer evenly all over your face and then wash it off with warm water (I use a flannel). To be honest I didn't have high hopes for this, because sometimes its quite difficult to remove makeup, but this really works and I highly recommend it, especially if you have sensitive skin and can't use makeup wipes. Also it makes your skin feel really smooth which is obviously a bonus.

The second one I tried was "Angels On Bare Skin". The best way I can describe this is that it's basically a face scrub. It's very difficult to explain, but it's like a clump of herbs and things stuck together and you just have to take a small piece off and mix it with a bit of warm water so it forms a paste, then start scrubbing your face with it and wash it off when done. It gets all of the dead skin off and unclogs your pores. I really like this, it makes you feel really clean.

The third and final product I tried was "Tea Tree Water". This is a spray which you spray onto your bare face about three times and let it soak in. I love it, because it's really refreshing. Tea tree is really good for you, so putting it on your face will keep your skin in good condition and help clear up any spots or blemishes you may have.

If you have any LUSH face products you've tried and you would recommend to other people, please comment and let me know and I'll do a review on them.

Re-using Yankee Candle Jars

So recently I've gone through a lot of Yankee candles and I kind of have a little obsession with them. Personally I favour these candles over any others, because the scents are so strong and fill not only the whole room, but the entire house! Also they have such a wide variety of scents, so it's certain that there will be something for everyone's taste. But what do we do with the big glass jars left over once the candles are burned out? Just throw them away? No!! I have come up with many ways to re-use them and they genuinely look really pretty. The best part about this is that it's so so easy and simple.

First you will need to wash out the jar and get rid of any left over wax. Then decorate the jar with felt, ribbons, buttons, gemstones, fabrics and just anything you can think of to make it tie in with the room your putting it in. I have a few examples below:-

As you can see I've kept my jars very simple, all I wanted on them was a ribbon. Obviously you can make them much nicer and spend more time on them, but I liked mine like this. Clearly I have been using my jar as a vase for some flowers, however before that I had makeup brushes in there which looked really good. Some other ideas are to put in bobbles and clips, pens and pencils, nail varnishes etc...

Please send me the pictures of what you've done with your jars! I'd love to see them!!
