July Favourites

As you can see from the title above, this is gong to be about things I've been loving last month. I know it's a little late and I should have done this at the start of august, but better late than never.

First of all, I always have a yankee candle. But the one I've just finished, I bought just over a month ago and I really really like it. It's called "Bahama Breeze". It smells like pineapple, grapefruit and mango. Unfortunately because it's just ran out I don't have a picture of it, but I'll leave a link below.

My favourite lip product has been the Maybelline Baby Lips in "Cherry Me". It leaves your lips feeling really moisturised and smells amazing. It also leaves a pinky red tint on your lips which is really pretty and it's great to give your lips some colour when you don't want to use a lipstick. Also because it's so small, it's easy to throw in your bag and take wherever you go.

I've really been loving wearing my high waisted white jeans. I feel like they're really summery, because they're white, so I'm trying to get as much wear out of them possible before summer ends. I like to pair them with this top and a statement necklace.

I bought a shoulder bag last month, and I have used it a lot when I go out. It's from River Island but it reminds me of the Chanel bags with the chain straps. I got black, because it will go with everything, but there's other colours too. Also it has a really handy cushion on the chain so that the bag doesn't hurt your shoulder.

Last month I bought the Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder. I know a lot of people that use it and speak highly of it, but I've just never tried it. I've been loving it and find it really helps keep my make up on all day, so now I've hit pan already! Excuse the messiness of it, it's clearly been used a lot!

Mascara wise I've been using the Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumising Mascara. It's by far the cheapest one I've seen, but also by far the best. It makes your lashes so long, I think this is now my holy grail mascara!

I've started using BooTea teatox, and I've been having it in my Minnie Mouse mug from Disneyland Paris. I'm just obsessed with this mug I don't know why... And it has a little spoon that comes with it and fits into the handle!

If you ask anyone I see often, usually I'm wearing my black boots. I just feel they go with everything and always look good. I got mine from ARK last year, but you can get them anywhere to be honest and usually around £30.

Last Christmas my nan bought me a statement necklace from River Island. I loved it so so much, but it broke! My mum finally got it fixed last month so I've been wearing it all the time.

The final thing I've been loving is my fluffy floral blanket from Primark. I love to be all cozy and snuggle up warm with hot chocolate etc... I'm sure you all love doing the same type of thing. And it was only £10!

Comment a link to your own monthly favourites and I'll have a read.

Top 5 Lipsticks

So as you can see, this is a post about my top 5 favourite lipsticks currently. There is a mixture of drugstore and high-end, because I tried to do my top 5 drugstore lipsticks, but I just couldn't leave MAC out.

Starting on the first two on the left, is the MAC Lady Gaga limited edition and unfortunately I don't know the shades on either of these. These go on so smoothly and they're super shiny so it creates the look that you have gloss on as well. The first colour I love and used to wear daily, it suits my skin tone well and virtually goes with anything. Clearly the second lipstick is much more pink, which I don't normally go for, because I don't feel like I suit pinks at all. So what I like to do is take a lip brush and swipe it on the lipstick to get a small amount of colour. Then just blend it into your lips and it kind of works as a lip stain. Obviously this takes a bit longer than just applying it normally, but it's the only way I suit it and I don't want to waste a MAC lipstick.

Next is the Maybelline Color Sensational in shade "547 - pleasure me red". I love the packaging on this, I just think it's really sleek and classy. The lipstick itself has amazing staying power and lasts for ages, you don't have to worry about it rubbing off. It's only drugstore so it was really cheap, I think it was around £4 or £5. Also I love red lipstick and think it suits every skin tone.

Which brings me nicely onto the next lipstick which is also red, but it's very dark and a matte shade. It's the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in shade "107". Again I think this goes with all skin tones and with being a matte shade it lasts much longer. The packaging on this is really nice too. In this range, there's lots of other shades and there's a selection of shades which aren't matte as well.

Lastly on the right is a Clinique Long Last Lipstick in "Blushing Nude". I went through a phase of wearing this 24/7, describing the lipsticks is actually really difficult, but I love this one a lot. I would never have picked it up myself, my nan gave it to me. Usually I don't use Clinique make up, because my skin doesn't react well to it, but this is just so nice and I recommend it.

Please leave a comment of your favourite lipsticks or glosses etc... I'm open to give them a try.

Acne Skincare

So it may be a surprise to those who know me, because I never talk about it or bring it up, but I actually have acne. Fortunately when it comes to my skin I am the biggest drama queen ever!! I've always had pretty good skin growing up, so when I suddenly had about 5 spots I freaked out and demanded my mum to take me to the doctors. Long story short, they told me that being over dramatic has helped me, because I had very early stages of acne which luckily can be cleared up very quickly when diagnosed early enough.

I knew many girls and boys who I grew up with who suffered with acne and it completely destroyed their confidence. I'd say that the majority of people who get acne find it very difficult to treat it easily or even treat it at all. People try so many different products, creams and tablets, and in the end it usually just irritates the affected areas further. However I feel extremely fortunate that the very first thing I was given worked fantastically!

My doctor perscribed me with 2 products. The first was a cream called "ACNECIDE" and the second was a box of tablets called "Lymecycline Capsules".

I'm not sure whether they both work, or it's one or the other. Either way by using these, my skin cleared up in two days!! I was over the moon. And I seriously highly recommend these to everyone with acne. The only downside is that the ACNECIDE cream can dry your skin out, so you should get a really moisturising face cream to use when needed. I use the "Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief", although it is a little pricey so I'm sure there will be a cheaper alternative.

Hope this helps someone. Let me know?
